The Catholic Foundation of South Georgia offers donors several gifting opportunities to help them fulfill their charitable intentions. By creating a legacy through an endowment fund, the Foundations ensures a future of perpetual giving for a parish, school, agency of the Diocese. Endowment funds at the Foundation can support:
Parishes, Parish Elementary Schools, Diocesan High Schools, Catholic Education, Seminarian Education, Catholic Cemeteries, Catholic Social Services, Catholic Post-Secondary Education, Diocesan-Related Ministries and the Catholic Foundation Unrestricted Fund.
Establish a Named Endowment Fund
It takes very litte time to establish a named endowment with the Foundation. As the donor, you name the endowment fund you wish to create. Next, you determine the type of gift you want to open the fund with, and finally designate the purpose of your endowment fund. Named funds also include scholarship endowment funds.
Give to an Existing Endowment Fund
You can also give to an existing fund at the Catholic Foundation through an outright or planned gift. Your gift of any size to to any fund is welcome.
Name a Parish, School or the Foundation in Your Will
Though a bequest or other planned giving vehicle, you can establish a fund in the Catholic Foundation. A legacy gift is the ultimate acto of stewardship.
Transfer an Exising Private Foundation
You can transfer your family foundation to the Catholic Foundation of South Georiga. The reasons families may chose to do this is to reduce the administrative burden and if their are no heirs to the Foundation to continue to fulfil it's charitable intentions. You can preserve its name and legacy without the disadvantages of IRS regulations on private foundations.
