Types of Funds
There are many different types of endowment funds held by the Catholic Foundation of South Georiga. Each fund has a unique purpose that reflects the intentions of the donor. Each gift made from these funds supports an important cause. Every distribution assists a parish, school or agency. Every scholarship assists a student to receive a Catholic education. In every aspect, endowment funds improve the quality of life across our Catholic community and facilitates philanthropy at the highest level.
Parish Endwoment Fund
Parish Endowments Funds offer parishes an opportunity for families to leave a legacy to their church while broadening their stewardship opportunities. Familes give to what has been most important to them in their lifetime and their church has been a place where relationships have been nurtured and their faith deepened.
Parish Endowment Funds will:
1. Give donors a chance to leave a legacy to their parish or school and be recognized for their stewardship.
2. Provide ongoing income to the parish for needs.
3. Help secure the financial future for parish with a stream of income.
4. Heighten awareness and understanding of parish planned giving programs and activities.
5. Identify opportunities for parish planned giving.
6. Allows for the acceptance of diversified assets to build parish endowment.
School Endowment Fund
Scholarship Endowment Funds provide an ongoing stream of income for our schools and provide scholarships to youth to attend a Catholic elementary or high school and/or college. School Endowment Funds allows to preserve Catholic education across the Diocese of Savannah for future generations.
School Endowment Funds can:
1. Provides instructional improvements
and media resources.
2. Offer support for needs that improves
the quality of education to our youth.
3. Provide funds for capital
improvement.
Family-Named Endowment Fund
Family-Named Endowment Funds give donors the chance to support a parish, school, cemetery, seminarian educaiton or an agency in the Diocese that is nearest to their heart. It's a way for families to deepen their philanthropy and address needs while leaving a legacy.
Scholarship Fund
Scholarship Funds are one of the fastest growing endowment funds in philanthropy. Families and individuals can make a difference in a student's life by providing a scholarship that allows them to further a Catholic education. Even with the rising costs of higher education, college scholarship gives a student the opportunity to go to the Catholic college of their choice. Scholarship funds also offer donors a way to memorialize a loved.
